I just got a ferret nation cage and I'm going to replace the plastic trays with custom metal pans. I'm wondering how high I should ask for the sides to be. Of course the higher the better to reduce mess but I don't want them to be higher than they have to. I was thinking 5" but maybe thats overkill? Would 3" be high enough or still quite messy? Any input from those of you who have FN metal pans would be greatly appreciated!
