Hi, I'm a pretty new Chinchilla owner and I got her 12 days ago. I put her Dust bath in her cage because she seemed to like it in there last time she got her bath. She went to jump out of it, but me being stupid I put it at the top of her cage so when she jumped out it fell with her. I picked her up to make sure she was okay and she had a big clump of dust in one of her eyes. People say to do a saline solution but I don't have that and I wanted to know if it would be okay or if she could get an infection from it. At first when I let her back in the cage she was squeaking and rubbing her nose and eye, but now she seems to be sleeping. Is there anything I need to do to make sure she's okay?
