Wire bottom spacing

I just set up a new cage for my chin and it has a wire bottom. The bars are spaced 3/8" by 5" so they aren't square. All of the other levels of the cage are solid so I'm not worried about bumble foot or anything I just wondered if that is an okay spacing for the bottom? I don't want his feet to get stuck or anything. Any advice would be appreciated!
