Hello!

Okay, I made this account a while back, back when I had my first Chinchilla, Piper. I sadly had to give him away to a friend. Thankfully she still sends me updates all the time, and if anything were to ever happen, he'd be coming straight back to me. Anywho, I haven't been on here in a while, and in that time I've obtained another chinchilla. A little female from a friend who no longer had room for her. She's extremely sweet and I've only had her for two days, but in those two days she's already coming to me when I call her during playtime, jumping in my lap, letting me pet and hold her whenever, gives me kisses, and runs around and perches on my shoulders. However, her owner before me did not keep her on a proper diet at all. The food they gave with her looked like bird seed or a very unhealthy blend of guinea pig food. They kept her dust bath in with her 24/7, I don't believe she ever had hay in her life, and she acted like little wooden chew toys were the best thing since sliced bread. I don't believe she's ever really been properly taken care of and handled with. Her cage isn't very good in my opinion either. Actually, I hate it. I plan on getting her a Ferret Nation as soon as I get the money. But now, due to her improper diet, she has become a little sickly. As far as her poop being not-so-hard, and she is also missing fur on her tail. Other than that, she is fine. But I ran to the store yesterday where I picked her up a hay rack, brand new food, chew toys, and rice stick treats. She's loving the hay and the new food and thinks the toys are just amazing. I love her already. Her name is Jane and I believe she is a Hetero Beige. I plan on getting her a male playmate eventually, most likely a Black Velvet as those are my favorites, and name him Thor. :) I just thought I'd share her story and a few pictures as a way to get started on these forums again.
