Bumble foot

When I took Tigger to the vet, she mentioned he may have a slight case of bumble foot, but wasn't serious where he was given anything.......not sure why as all his surfaces are flat, but I'm going to clean them tomorrow. What can I do for his feet?

Is bumble foot just when their feet get dry or is it an actual infection, I haven't heard much about it before, so don't know what it is.

I've done a quick search on here and see people recommend bag balm, does this just help, or get rid of it?
