Pepe, my chinchilla, looks as if the area around his right eye is wet but it is not. It has been like this for a few days now and there is no redness or discharge. He's perfectly happy and shows no unusual signs (active, eats, poops, etc.) but I did notice his teeth were more on the yellow side (and I'm aware his teeth should be dark orange).
Could dental issues be the reason why his eye looks as if its wet? I switched his diet to a much healthier one (I was not giving him as much calcium) and I'm hoping this will help.
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. Thank you!
