Ferret Nation - Safety layout

I am trying to re-guard my ferret nation due to a clumsy chin.



I have used bassequipment metal pans..



Would someone use pan 1 and pan 2 to separate the leaping/jumping range?



Is this suggested for cagemates? Will one become territorial of one half?
