I will be getting my first Chin with in the next few weeks!(Best birthday present ever!) I will be ordering a ferret nation 182 from Walmart. Luckily my boyfriend works there and he is using his discount to buy it for me :) Money is an option, so that's why I chose FN over CN. I have a couple of questions about Chin-Proofing/Baby-Proofing.
1)My Chin will be about 10-12 weeks old, so roughly 2.5 to 3 months. Do I need to Baby-Proof a FN at this age? And If so what do I need? I am very worried about my Chin going through the bars.
2)For Chin-Proofing is it okay if use bedding in the bottom of the plastic pan? I will be using fleece on the 2nd level and the shelves.
3)Is it okay to use the ramps they come with if they are covered with fleece? This would only be temporarily.
4)Would you recommend litter training for a chin? Will they still poop where ever they desire or go in the litter box?
I have been and still doing loads of research, I haven't been this excited since the birth of my daughter. Any other advice about Chins would be greatly appreciated
