Hi everyone! Glad to be part of the Chin family. This is my first Chin and we are in St Augustine, Florida. We've had Chewy for about 8 mths now, we are his second owners as the first owner gave him up because their daughter was too young and wanted a pet she could squish. We love him to bits and he makes us laugh constantly with all the cute, quirky things he does. We recently started this obstacle course for him and he would push the things to the side, tuck it under his body and kick it with his back legs... it's pretty darn cute!
I do have one concern, within the last 2 mths, our Chin has been peeing on the spot while he is eating his hay. I don't know if he's just being lazy or if it's normal behavior. He still goes to his litter box to pee, but we have noticed that while he's busy chowing down on his hay, he will just pee and that spot is becoming really saturated. My husband built an 8 storey "condo" for him, so it's easy to change the wood panels, but I'm not sure how to have him not go by his food during the night. Has anyone else encountered this?
