Fleece biting

I recently purchased this product on amazon and when I put it in my chin's cage, he kept biting the fleece part of the product. How can I prevent such a behaviour? Is it okay for them to ingest fleece?



My chin has been exposed to fleece before as I use fleece for his cage bedding. He does not bite the bedding.
