Need some advice and help

Ok so this might be a bit long. So I’ve had a chinchilla for around 10 years. Not long ago my last one died and about 5 months ago i bought a new one. But he’s kind of a little ass lol. I love him of course and he’s just recently finally let me start to pet him, I try to show him a lot of attention so maybe he chills out.
