We have air conditioning but it's going to hit 100 for a couple days this week (this is the most stressful time of year for me!)
I have this down as an emergency plan if the power goes out:
- Take chins carriers with ice packs covered in fleece/marble/water and go to nearest vet in air conditioned car until they cool off.
If the air conditioning fails I have a backup standalone unit.
What are the finer points I should be aware of? We have a freezer full of cold things to put in with them.
What would you recommend?
I also have a list of pet friendly hotels with AC just in case. The vet is an interim plan.
