I've just started checking the "chinchilla" subreddit on reddit.com and found someone who needs rehoming for 2 chinchillas due to moving overseas. I've told the person to come check out the forum here, but to help, I'd like to see if anyone here knows of either a good home they could go to or of a rescue who'd take them. The person lives in Cleveland area, Ohio. Here's the message that was on reddit:

I'm sorry if this is improper but I've had zero luck finding a new home for my beloveds. I have to move to Europe in a couple of weeks and have been completely unable to find anyone willing to care for them. It really breaks my heart to leave them but after much research it did not seem viable for their health to attempt to move them as well. No rescue in the Cleveland area would accept them, neither would any friends or family. They are a 11 year old female, 7 year old male standard grays. Male has malocclusion and does need regular vet care. If anyone knows of any resources or someone experienced with chinchilla care willing to open their hearts to two more I, and them, would be eternally grateful. Thank you for taking time to read |
