Scabs

I accidentally picked off my hedgehog, Tickles scab during a bath, confusing it for mud or poop stuck in his fur. it left a hairless, red and white patch around half the size of my pinkie fingernail. He didn't bleed or anything, but will it heal on it's own? If it were on one of my dogs or cats, I wouldn't worry, but Tickles rarely gets hurt and I'm worried about him.
