Subject: Chinchilla rescue
Hello! My friend mentioned you as a possible source of help for the current Chinchilla issue at the Seattle Animal Shelter. We recently had a hoard of 21 chins dropped off at the shelter. Some are in quite poor shape, others look relatively good, although all are underweight. The shelter is completely overwhelmed and does not have the capacity to care for these critters. We have managed to get all 21 chins into foster care but most of the foster parents are not experienced (including me). If you know of any regional rescues or resources the shelter can tap, please let us know.
